What's with the high stat numbers?

Blizz is a big fan of making everything you've worked your face off for completely worthless with each new expansion. That's what's with the high stat numbers. A simple blue outdoes every single epic in the game.

I know that :)

I am probably one of the number 1 supporters of "Why raid when it will all be useless 1 level into the expansion?". I bitched about that A LOT going into WOTLK.

The average raider gear has stats in the +100-150 range. So is there any huge reason why they are pushing it into the 300-400+ range on some stats? I don't know of a reason why to take a leap that high in stats since the bosses will be scaled anyway.

There's going back to basics in a way... how vanilla use to be. They stripped away all of the BS that came with WOTLK, thus the 31 point talent tree is back.

Basics??!?!? (straps on his +15 str and +22 stam Pauldrons of Might)

You mean I will have to learn crowd control again and manage mana????? But that won't let me easy mode pewpewpew in raids.
